PESA Extends Condolences to Family of Former PESA Chairman Philip Burguières

Philip Burguières, a Houston Texans limited partner and former PESA Chairman, died on June 30, the Houston Chronicle reports. Burguieres served as PESA Chairman from 1986-1987.

His energy background included serving as chairman and CEO of Panhandle Eastern Corp. and Cameron Iron Works Inc. before joining the company now known as Weatherford International Ltd., where he also served as chairman and CEO from 1991 to 1996. After Weatherford, he served as chairman and CEO of EMC Holdings, an investment management company specializing in the oil service industry.

In addition to serving as PESA Chairman, he also served on the board of directors at FMC Technologies Inc. and Newfield Exploration Co. and was a member of the National Petroleum Council and the World’s Presidents’ Organization, a past president of the Petroleum Club of Houston, and a past chairman of the National Ocean Industries Association.
