Over 20 participants gathered last week at Energy Workforce for the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People course, facilitated by Jessica McCann, FranklinCovey.
Part of Energy Workforce’s expanding suite of workforce development offerings, the two-day seminar builds on the timeless principles of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” with a modern, industry-focused approach. Designed for leaders and professionals at every level, the program strengthens personal and professional effectiveness through practical tools for leadership, collaboration, and accountability.
Participants from over a dozen member companies learned to focus on what they can control, define clear measures of success, prioritize what matters most, seek win-win outcomes, and communicate with empathy. As companies seek to build strong teams, having leaders develop interpersonal growth leads to a stronger foundation for intrapersonal engagement.
Attendees noted how the program supports their personal development as leaders:
“I would recommend the program and explain how it really opens your eyes to current roadblocks, concerns and challenges you face with our knowing and understanding.”
“The program not only teaches you how to be more effective as a leader, but it teaches you to focus on yourself first to be more effective in your role at work and home!”
For the energy services sector, courses like 7 Habits offer an opportunity to showcase leadership in workforce development and to contribute to employee growth beyond technical training. These programs support Energy Workforce’s goal to equip current and future leaders with the tools they need to grow and evolve the energy industry and enhance its reputation.
