Energy Workforce Advocates for the Future of American Energy on Capitol Hill

Energy Workforce & Technology Council President Tim Tarpley led discussions on Capitol Hill last week, meeting with newly elected members of Congress to emphasize the vital role of the energy services sector in driving innovation, strengthening the workforce, and securing America’s energy future.

In partnership with fellow trade associations—including the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), Western Energy Alliance, U.S. Oil & Gas Association, Alaska Oil and Gas Association, National Ocean Industries Association, and Gulf Energy Alliance—Tarpley highlighted key industry priorities such as regulatory certainty, workforce development, and energy security. These discussions are essential to ensuring policies that support a strong, sustainable, and globally competitive U.S. energy industry.

Energy Workforce extends its appreciation to the members of Congress and their staff who participated in these discussions, including Representatives Pat Harrigan (NC-10), Gabe Evans (CO-08), Sheri Biggs (SC-03), Dave Taylor (OH-02), Jeffrey S. Hurd (CO-03), Brian Jack (GA-03), Riley M. By engaging with policymakers, Energy Workforce continues to champion policies that unlock the full potential of American energy, drive economic growth, and power the nation forward.
