As part of EWTC’s international presence to support all of our member companies that already operate in Latin America and those considering it, EWTC is organizing several events this fall to advance this mission. First, in September, EWTC’s Latin American chapter will work with the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce to host an event coinciding with the Rio Oil and Gas Show (ROG-E) on September 21 from 7-10 pm at the Square Design Hotel near the convention center.  This event will draw a large crowd of Brazilian government officials as well as senior officials from the major Operators in Brazil, including Magda Chambriard, President and CEO of Petrobras. These attendees will provide great networking opportunities for EWTC members in the Brazilian market and for those looking to enter it. Petrobras and other major operators in Brazil have reported record oil and gas production in the second quarter of 2026, with bullish forecasts for 2027 and beyond.  Onshore in Brazil could also be a huge opportunity as the Government could consider onshore well stimulation, opening up large new opportunities.

Argentina is also showing incredible promise, having hit a record of 8887,227 barrels per day in May of this year. That number represents a 19% increase over the same period a year earlier. Natural gas output also rose to 5.5 billion cubic feet per day, which was just shy of the record 5.7 billion cubic feet per day recorded in July 2025. The operators there are hungry for the technology and expertise that EWTC member companies provide, especially in well stimulation, water processing, downhole technologies, and other efficiency-enhancing technologies. Our Latin America chapter will be hosting our annual cocktail to coincide with the AOG Oil and Gas Show in Neuquén the week of August 19.  This will be an opportunity for EWTC members currently in the market or considering entry to meet with major local Operators and local government officials. Final details on the event will be posted on the EWTC website soon; please check the newsletter for updates.

Additionally, we are working with the Argentina Texas Chamber of Commerce to gauge interest from service and equipment companies in participating in a five-day trade mission during this time.  This trade mission will include technical visits, visits to Operator facilities, B2N networking and social events, and an Innovation Day at Tecpatrol.  Full draft agenda here. If you have interest in any one of these events, please email Jessica Santos, Director of Government Affairs, for more information.
