Energy Workforce Celebrates 25th Annual Explorers of Houston Golf Tournament

First-place team

On March 7, Energy Workforce & Technology Council hosted and celebrated its 25th Annual Explorers of Houston Golf Tournament — a day for Members to network and cultivate relationships at the Golf Club of Houston. The event’s strong turnout demonstrates the industry’s dedication to the advancement of our industry, as tournament proceeds support educating on behalf of the oil field services and equipment sector.

Energy Workforce Board Member Steven Anderson, President & CEO of Evolution Well Services, served as host, welcoming attendees, and thanking the teams that entered the tournament.

Competing in a shamble, the first-place team included Richard Leaper, Milestone Environmental Services; Daniel Boone, Milestone Environmental Services; Matt Garner, Mallard Creek Polymers; and Nathan Boone.

The second-place team included Phil Everson, B&L Pipeco Services; Sean Stevens; Tyler Barnes, B&L Pipeco Services and Dean Rougas, Benteler Steel & Tube.

The third-place award went to Adam Vyvial, GO Wireline, LLC; Adam Esparza, Southwestern Energy and Mark Ellingson, Calfrac Well Services.

Simao Silva, BD Director & Brazil Country Manager, Oceaneering and Tim Tarpley, President, Energy Workforce & Technology Council, presented the awards. Individual winners were:

  • Straightest Drive: Mike Frazier, Chevron
  • Closest to the Pin: Phil Everson, B&L Pipeco Services
  • Closest to the Pin in 2: Michael Lateur, KROLL LLC
  • Longest Drive: Mike Frazier, Chevron

The Houston Golf Club giveaway winner was Advisory Board Member Bruce Miller, SLB.
