Inside the Conversation: Rep. Harriet Hageman on Energy, Permitting & Power Demand

Congresswoman Harriet Hageman, a member of the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources from Wyoming, recently visited Energy Workforce headquarters for a roundtable discussion with Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) members on key issues impacting US OFS companies.  Tim Tarpley, Energy Workforce President, was joined by Scott McCurdy with Encino Environmental Services, Aman Kaur and Amarpal Nanda with Equipt.ai, Nick Ruppelt with Evolution Well Services, Emma Coxon with E3 Company, Todd Ennenga with Halliburton, Jay Allison with Milestone Environment, and Bruce Miller with SLB.

The discussion focused on permitting reform, regulatory challenges related to the Endangered Species Act, growing power demand, and the impacts of tariffs on energy manufacturing in the United States.  EWTC members engaged directly with the Representative and had a lengthy discussion about how power demand increases can be met using the technology and expertise of the OFS sector and how permitting reform and tariff relief for targeted energy components are necessary to fully meet the demand.

Rep. Hageman and members also exchanged views on how federal policies affect domestic energy production, workforce development, infrastructure expansion, and the ability of U.S. companies to compete globally.

By bringing together policymakers and industry leaders, Energy Workforce continues to ensure the perspectives of energy service companies are represented in conversations shaping the future of U.S. energy policy.
