Last week, the Middle East Chapter hosted its Oil & Gas 101 seminar at NOV’s Jebel Ali Central Offices in Dubai. The full-day event featured a range of sessions covering drilling systems, completions, innovation, and supply chain, each delivering practical knowledge and real-world perspective.
Participants included representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Caterpillar, Cummins, DNOW, F-E-T, GD Energy Products, HMH, LoneStar Group, NOV, PSA BDP, SLB, SPM Oil & Gas, and Triplefast Middle East Limited.
Chapter Chair Riaz Jumabhoy, VP – Eastern Hemisphere at GD Energy Products, opened the seminar alongside NOV’s Brett Hunt. Their remarks set the tone for a day focused on knowledge sharing, industry insights, and networking.
NOV kicked off the technical presentations with an in-depth overview of rig systems and the drilling process. F-E-T followed with a session on completions and flow equipment. Caterpillar highlighted how the oil and gas sector has driven innovation and the deployment of cutting-edge technologies. NOV returned to discuss the midstream sector, explaining how oil and gas is processed, stored, and transported. The event concluded with DNOW’s presentation on supply chains and the impact of sustainable logistics on operations and outcomes.
