The PESA Supply Chain Committee assembled on July 11 at Express Bolt & Gasket, a subsidiary of S+S Industries, for a combined committee meeting and tour of Express Bolt & Gasket’s manufacturing and distribution facility.

During the committee meeting members discussed roundtable development for 2019, the next of which will be held August 14 at DistributionNOW. Guest speakers at this event will provide insights on how AI, Blockchain and Digital Transformation impact and provide value to the supply chain, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.

In the fall, the committee will host two events: a joint roundtable with the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee discussing how Members can help combat human trafficking, as well as a joint roundtable in the Permian with the PESA Government Affairs Committee around market challenges within the frac sand sector.

The committee also discussed topics for the annual Supply Chain Seminar to be held in February 2020. Themes such as risk management, addressing the effects of technologies such as electrification, and companies transitioning from fragile to agile, are being considered.

The PESA Supply Chain roundtables are members-only events and are focused on sharing knowledge and best practices around industry trends and timely issues within supply chain. Throughout 2019, the Committee will continue to meet and discuss ways to provide value to PESA membership and those within the supply chain.

The PESA Supply Chain Committee includes representation from AUGE, Alix Partners, Apergy, B&L Pipeco Services, Baker Hughes, a GE company, BJ Services, DistributionNOW, Ellwood Group, Forged Products, Forum Energy Technologies, Fox Metals & Alloys, Galtway Industries, Kerr Pumps & FlowValve, M&M Forgings, Microsoft, Mustang CAT, Newpark Drilling Fluids, NOV, Oceaneering, Schlumberger, Sigma Fasteners and Ringers Gloves.
