Truckers Against Trafficking Building Coalition in New Mexico

On May 24, Truckers Against Trafficking is hosting an event in Carlsbad with the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office, sponsored by ConocoPhillips. This half-day summit features a “Human Trafficking 101” presentation; information on training resources for energy and trucking companies; a presentation by a survivor-leader/field trainer; and a law enforcement panel discussion.

Energy Workforce works with organizations like Truckers Against Trafficking, Texas Business Against Trafficking (TBAT) and Oil and Gas Trafficking Advocacy Group (OGTAG) to continue education in the oil and gas sector on the issue and provide resources. The groups have addressed Council Members at events such as the ESG Capstone and have engaged with the Council’s ESG and Supply Chain Committees.

The event in Carlsbad is free and targeted for regional leadership and local leads in HSE, community engagement or ESG. Truckers Against Trafficking is also encouraging companies to invite their contractors, shipping partners/trucking companies and other relevant partners to the event to increase awareness.

Attendees can register here.
