Council Hosts Second Half-Day Sessions of Executive Leadership Program

Engaging Leadership

More than 100 participants from 35 different companies reconvened this week for the second quarter seminars of the Executive Leadership Program. Participants in the Engaging Leadership, Advanced Business Development and Strategic & Branded Executive Programs came together to discuss and develop leadership skills needed for current and future roles.

The 2022 Executive Leadership Program, sponsored by GD Energy Products, prepares future leaders for the responsibilities they will face and the qualities they will need as they successfully advance in their organizations.

ENGAGING LEADERSHIP

The Engaging Leadership course focuses on identifying strategies to create a collaborative, resilient workplace. Attendees develop strong communication methods and explore the difference between being a leader and a boss.

The group discussed listening with intention, the three forms of feedback and leading with influence.

ADVANCED BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Advanced Business Development

The Advanced Business Development course helps participants develop the skills, behaviors and confidence to address client needs and develop long-term relationships. The training gives participants a range of business development and sales techniques to adopt a confident consultative and solutions-based approach when selling.

Participants discussed the seven C’s of business development, personal positioning statements, effective communication and emotional intelligence.

STRATEGIC & BRANDED EXECUTIVE

The Strategic & Branded Executive course offers leaders and high-potential executives the tools to enhance their executive brand and presence, and equips leaders with strategic planning tools, processes, and skills to guide any size organization to its true potential.

Strategic & Branded Executive

The cohort focused on SWOT analysis, the importance of SWOT’s strategic pillars, goals and objectives as they relate to the pillars, and more.

Pat Lipovski, Founder & CEO, Envision Group, led the seminars with co-facilitators from Envision Group, a leader in corporate advising and coaching.

Participants from each track of the Executive Leadership Program are scheduled to join their counterparts from the other sessions at a quarterly networking event June 14 hosted by the Council’s Emerging Executives Committee.
